Week 7 Notes

The interesting thing, to me, about the Internet is how organic it is. It's made up of a number of local networks that are all connected to each other at network access points. There does not seem to be any overarching structure or administration aside from the Internet Society. Traffic is directed by routers, and for the most part, everything runs smoothly. Different companies agree to share the same networks. It's interesting to compare this with traffic infrastructure, which is closely administered, yet runs far less smoothly.
